The great thing about Border's free book program would be that the free book selection surpasses what was available in the past when my kids first joined these summer reading programs. The free books have been books kids might enjoy reading and can include Miss Daisy is Crazy! by Dan Gutman, Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary and Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, amongst others.
Barnes and Noble Free Book
Barnes and Noble offers a free book program for kids august. Children who provide the titles of 8 books they've read may select a selection of 28 books geared towards audiences from preschool through grade 6. Among the free books on Barnes and Nobles' list are The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien, and My Last Best Friend by Julie Bowe.
Free Movie Rental at Blockbuster for Good Grades
For kids getting out of school with good grades come early july, Blockbuster offers a free movie rental. To qualify, kids must bring a report card demonstrating a B or satisfactory average with a participating Blockbusters location within four weeks of receiving the report card.
Pizza Hut Free Pizza and Drink for 3 As
Elementary and middle school age kids who achieved 3 A grades on his or her final report card for that school year can obtain a personal pan pizza and small drink at the participating Pizza Hut location.
Krispy Kreme Free Donughnuts for As
The more As on that final school report card, the harder free doughnuts your son or daughter can bring home from Krispy Kreme come july 1st, as much as 6.
IBC Bakery Goodies for Good Grades
IBC bakeries give a baked good to kids whose final report card for your school year shows good grades. Check the IBC website for participating bakeries.
Topps Top of the Class Rewards
For a non-edible a's and b's award, try the Topps Top with the Class program that offers kids a totally free trading card upon presenting their report cards. The Topps website lists the Topps locations by state.
